What inspired you to pursue a career in STEM?
As a teenager in late 90s I was fascinated by the Internet and how it connected the world. I just wanted to be a part of it!

What is the coolest project you have worked on and why?
Mathematical modeling of online romance is among one of the coolest project I’ve ever done. We had to go over millions of love and hug exchanges among online users. What I really like about the project was I had to go through social psychological literature of romance expression and Love to be able to compare online trends with actual ones in face to face relationships. It’s amusing how technology bridges all different interdisciplinaries and how it has changed the traditional definition of computer science.
